aazhi pOl minni valamburi pOl ninRadhirndhu *
thaazhaadhE saarngam udhaiththa saramazhai pOl *
vaazha ulaginil peydhidaay * naangaLum
maargazhi neeraada magizhndhElOr embaavaay. 


aazhi          circular; ocean-like in expansiveness 
mazhai         rain

vaazha         flourish, prosper
ulaginil       in this world
pEydhidaay     rain!
